From the CDC Web page:

“Air passengers are required to get a viral test (a test for current infection) within the 3 days before their flight to the U.S. departs, and provide written documentation of their laboratory test result (paper or electronic copy) to the airline or provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19. Airlines must confirm the negative test result for all passengers or documentation of recovery before they board. If a passenger does not provide documentation of a negative test or recovery, or chooses not to take a test, the airline must deny boarding to the passenger.”

When did the CDC start restricting passengers coming into the USA? Tuesday, January 26th 2021

What is IBC doing about it? IBC provides a FREE Covid-19 Antigen (Virus) test prior to each flight into the United States.  This test meets the U.S. CDC requirements for travel into the United States.  A representative will administer this test to each IBC passenger at the airport, prior to their flight into the United States.  Paperwork will be provided for Free to each passenger for follow on use in their travels.

What does this Covid-19 test cost the passenger?  The test is FREE when traveling on IBC flights.

What does the passenger need to do? Simple:

1. Purchase your ticket as usual,

2. Show up at the airport for your trip into the United States three hours early to give the representative time to administer the test and give you your recorded results.

3. Fill out and sign a one-page form (attestation) and sign it.  This is your acknowledgement that you have taken a test within 72 hours.

4. You will receive a notice of your test results.

How long does it take to get the result? Usually fifteen (15) minutes after taking the test.  Results will be read by the representative and provided to you.

What happens to the test results? Your results are reported to the U.S. CDC and the crew of the aircraft.

What does a NEGATIVE test result mean*?  A Negative result means you will be allowed to travel on your flight into the United States.

What does a POSITIVE test result mean*? A Positive result means you will NOT be allowed to travel on your flight into the United States.  You will receive a credit for the portion(s) of your one-way or round-trip ticket until such time as you recover from the Covid-19 virus AND test NEGATIVE within 72 hours of that follow-on usage of credited travel with IBC Airways.

* Note: Please read the U.S. CDC guidance for the most accurate answer to this question on how it pertains to your health.
